Food Inflammation Test (FIT) and Gut Barrier Panel
KBMO's FIT & Gut Barrier (GB) Panel can provide greater insights into the extent of your food reactivity, in one easy blood spot test.
Food sensitivities and related diseases affect at least 100 million people worldwide and cause a wide variety of illnesses ranging from skin rashes and headaches to chronic intestinal diseases.
Unbalanced or inadequate diets, enzyme deficiencies, stress, genetic predisposition, infections and inflammation, chemicals, drugs, environmental pollutants and toxins are all possible contributing factors in the development of food sensitivities. Research has shown that these factors may weaken both digestion as well as the protective defences in our intestinal tract allowing for allergens to more easily confront our overwhelmed immune system.
KBMO is one of the few labs to measure IgG+Complement, acquiring a more complete look at your reaction level (compared to IgG testing alone) Complement can increase the inflammatory potential of a food by 1000 to 10,000 fold - making it highly relevant in food inflammation testing. The inclusion of the Gut Barrier markers make this test even more comprehensive and clinically actionable.
Comprehensive Stool Testing with Parasitology
Doctor's Data laboratories provide world-class diagnostic microbiology testing that helps us identify the presence of imbalanced flora including Clostridium species as well as detection of infectious pathogens and evaluation for the presence of parasites.
A thorough patient history will help assess the possibility of a parasitic infection and the need for appropriate testing to confirm the suspicion.
Precision Point Complete Thyroid Panel 1200
The Precision Point Complete Thyroid Panel measures thyroid gland activity, peripheral conversion of thyroid hormone, and thyroid autoantibodies. (TSH, Total T4, Free T4, Total T3, Free T3, Reverse T3, TPO Abs, TG Abs)When the thyroid is corrected it is like a light switch coming on the system. Better thyroid function helps our immune, our energy as well as reproductive function.
DUTCH Advanced Hormone Testing
Precision Analytical laboratories have developed one of the most advanced and comprehensive models for testing reproductive and adrenal hormones. It is a urine test, dried on collection and available for both men and women. Hormones measured (35 in total) include DHEA, Progesterone, Oestrogen (3 forms), Testosterone, Cortisol, Cortisone, Melatonin as well as their metabolites. 8OHdg - a validated marker for oxidative damage to DNA - is also measured. Daily free cortisol patterns give insight regarding stress loading and cortisol response, which we compare to normal diurnal patterns.
Environmental Toxicity (GPL-TOX) & Glyphosate Profile &/OR Mycotox Profile
Because exposure to environmental pollutants has been linked to many chronic diseases, The Great Plains Laboratory has created this profile that screens for the presence of 172 different toxic chemicals including organophosphate pesticides, phthalates, pyrethroid insecticides and more - all from a single urine sample. GPL-Tox also includes Tiglyglycine, a marker for mitochondrial damage, which is often seen in chronic toxic chemical exposure.
Glyphosate is the world's most widely produced herbicide and is the primary toxic chemical in Roundup. Recent studies have discovered glyphosate exposure to be a cause of many chronic health problems. The World Health Organisation International Agency for Research on Cancer published a summary in March 2015 that classified glyphosate as a possible carcinogen in humans.
MycoTox screens mycotoxins, which are metabolites produced by fungi like mould, which can infest buildings, vehicles and foodstuffs. Diseases and symptoms linked to mycotoxin exposure include fever, pneumonia-like symptoms, chronic fatigue, asthma - to name a few.
Based on results we can formulate an appropriate protocol to help your body eliminate the toxins and prevent future exposures.
Organic Acids Test (OATS)
Mosaic Diagnostics Organic Acids Test offers a comprehensive metabolic snapshot of your health with over 70 markers. It provides an accurate evaluation of intestinal yeast and bacteria and also includes markers for vitamin and mineral levels, oxidative stress, neurotransmitter levels & oxalates, which are correlated with many chronic illnesses.
If abnormalities are detected using the OAT, treatment can include herbs, vitamins, antioxidants & dietary modification.
