Firstly source your beef mince from your local organic butcher or an online delivery option if this is not possible. This ensures your meat is grass-fed, antibiotic-free, hormone-free and chemical-free.
These patties were made using plenty of finely chopped onion, garlic, celery, sage and thyme. Bound with an egg and a handful of rolled oats and a heaping tablespoon of organic shitake powder. Oh, and sea salt & kelp to taste.
I paint with plenty of extra virgin olive oil and bake in the oven until browned.
Delicious with a nice chutney (think feijoa this time of year) and a winter vege coleslaw.
