Miso, Black Pepper & chocolate Cookies



The combination of miso, black pepper and chocolate gives the tastebuds a hit of sweet, salty & pungent - all in one cookie!


50g butter or coconut oil

1/4 cup almond butter

1/4 cup honey

2 Tbsp water

1 tsp vanilla extract

3 Tbsp miso paste

2 cups rolled oats

1/2 cup coconut sugar

1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

80g dark 80% chocolate, chopped


Melt together over low heat the butter, almond butter, honey, water, vanilla extract & miso.


Process the oats in a food processor until they are a coarse flour. Transfer to a mixing bowl & add coconut sugar & pepper. Stir to combine.


Add the miso mixture to the dry ingredients, mix & add the chopped up chocolate.


Roll into balls and flatten with fork. Bake for 10 - 15 minutes. Delicious!
